உரை:
காலம் தாழ்த்தாத விரைவான நடவடிக்கைகளும், அறிவுடைமையும், துணிவும் நாடாளுகின்றவர்களுக்குத் தேவையானவையும், நீங்காமல் நிலைத்திருக்க வேண்டியவையுமான பண்புகளாகும்.
Translation:
A sleepless promptitude, knowledge, decision strong:
These three for aye to rulers of the land belong.
Explanation:
These three things, viz., vigilance, learning, and bravery, should never be wanting in the ruler of a country.
