கழிநல் குரவே தலை.
 உரை:
பழிக்கு அஞ்சாமல் இழிவான செயல்களைப் புரிந்து செல்வந்தராக வாழ்வதைவிட, கொடிய வறுமை தாக்கினாலும் கவலைப்படாமல் நேர்மையாளராக வாழ்வதே மேலானதாகும்.
Translation:
Than store of wealth guilt-laden souls obtain, 
The sorest poverty of perfect soul is richer gain.
Explanation:
Far more excellent is the extreme poverty of the wise than wealth obtained by heaping up of sinful deeds.
